Mindful Movement
Mindful Movement includes all somatic modalities that incorporate moving with awareness, moving slowly and breath.
Moving with awareness is a powerful, yet gentle means of developing and enhancing neuroplasticity - the property of brain cells to change structure and functioning in response to activity and mental experience. This is a bi-directional process. Thus, movement effects the mind; and awareness effects neural structure.
The Feldenkrais Method is an emblematic somatic practice enacting neuroplasticity.
